Day and Night : Tropical print playsuit - transparent crop top

Denim Shirt : Charity shop
Playsuit : Primark
Belt : Moschino via charity shop
Backpack : Primark
Sunny G's : Primark
Trainers : Nike
Earrings : Topshop and Paks
Bindi : ebay

What is it with the heat in London at the moment? It feels like Barbados! I thought I'd dress appropriately in as little as possible. I borrowed this cute tropical print playsuit off my sister, I love it, reminds me of those vintage Hawaiian shirts in playsuit form. I HATE my upper arms as well so I threw on this oversize denim shirt I cut the sleeves off over the top and HEY PRESTO flabby arms are gone :) !

Jacket : Vintage Nike via Ebay
Top : DIY from tights
Disco Pants |: American Apparel
Heels : H&M
Necklace : Peacocks

I went out the other night, my lovely boyfriend took some pictures of me after I got ready, taken with a phone camera sorryyy! I'm seriously clutching at straws at the moment, making a top out of tights a la goth. Skint as hell. And I'm SO glad I got another chance to wear my H&M neon heels, those bad boys were so worth the £24.99!! So all in all I was actually going for the 90's - hoochie mama - could be a member of some forgotten R&B girl group look, success? I think so :)

Now I've joined the 21'st century in the phone department I now have Instagram , my username is Frankiegd , let me know your username and I'll follow yours?

Been a pretty productive week in terms of finding stuff I'm dying to buy and can't afford as well... may as well share a bit of the torture with you guys :D

  1. Studded clutch : £8  SelectHERE - SO CHEAP and so similar to the Topshop and Zara ones, for a fraction of the price GIMME!!
  2. Gold toe cap heels : £16 Matalan HERE - Only £16 need I say more?
  3. Samsung Galaxy case : £4.29 Ebay HERE - Just bought this cutie for my new phone, love the bright colours.
  4. Backpack : £30 River Island HERE - You may have noticed I'm loving backpacks at the moment!
  5. Leather sleeve jacket : £60 LavishAlice HERE - I missed the boat on the Zara version but I would happily settle for this one, I want a denim one with leather sleeves too.
  6. Galaxy Swimsuit : £35 Topshop HERE - I hate to say it but so much cheaper than BlackMilk, it has to be done, sorry sharkies :/
  7. Unif Hellbounds : £175 Urban Outfitters HERE - Still need these in my life, pretty steep but I want to be taller than everybody else SO BAD.
  8. Midi Dress : £32 Topshop HERE - I love a good Midi, animal print is still high on my list of fucking awesomeness and this would look great with my camo jacket.
  9. Fire opal Ring : £8 Dixi HERE - I LOVE opals and this ring is beautiful, when I get paid...

nearly Christmas I guess...

The Dark Knight Rises AGAIN : H&M Neon Heels Transparent bag

Sheer shirt : Vintage
Jacket : Topshop Vintage
Skirt : Zara
Heels : Topshop
Bag : H&M
Spiked Bracelet : Newlook

- Check out that fringing yo -

My lovely friend Hanna Hiller photographer extraordinaire managed to snap some outfit pics the other evening. We wondered around Angel having problems with meal deals (yeah apparently in Sainsburys Hula Hoops aren't included??), went to see the Dark Knight Rises AGAIN. Decided to get all dressed up because I haven't had a chance to wear these neon heels yet, what do you think? This is quite a change for me considering I'm usually traipsing about in Dr Martens.

SUMMERTIME : Festival inspiration, getting my belly out, and tiger striped nails

Crop Top : Forever 21 ,  Shorts : DIY Vintage Wrangler , Belt : ASOS , Creepers : Underground

I never really know what face to do in pictures, so here I am trying something new, beautiful yah? All I can think about is could I fit a aubergine in my mouth.. looks like I could. The crop top I wore in this outfit is officially the first item I have ever purchased from Forever 21, exciting I know. Now, I never usually go in there, it's too big and the visual merchandising is ATROCIOUS but the other day with an extra 15 minutes to kill I popped into the Oxford Street store and found this beauty. I LOVE the print, it reminds me of my grandmas old sofas when I was little with a 'club Tropicana' edge. The gathered back is a lovely touch too (hello back fat).

I'm guessing most of my fellow students are now in the run up to exams and revising like a bitch, I know I am.... or not ... I've been doing things like this:
tiger print nails

Using my new Models Own nail polish in Flouro' Orange, a Sharpie for the stripes and Rimmel matte finish.
Buying these:

I have a renewed obsession with the Unif Hellbound boots and the only way I can begin to appease the shoe hungry monster is to buy rainbow laces. I'm planning on finding some platform black boots or maybe wedges to put these in, but for now, they are going in the Dr Martens.

The student loan is quite literally burning a hole in my bank account, I love shopping for clothes but I've got to the point where there is quite literally no point, I wear less clothes in summer anyway and there's FESTIVAL TICKETS TO BE BOUGHT WOOOOOOOOOOOO! These are the festivals I'm going to :

I can't wait to go back to Berlin for Melt! I had a fucking epic messy time there in January with my friends and I think this will be even better.
Now I'm not the average blogger who prattles on about festival fashion and that kind of thing, rather than parading around like I'm at Coachella in 4 inch heels as if it's a fashion show I prefer a more relaxed, albeit crazy take on things. Within about an hour of reaching the festival and putting up my tent (like a pro I might add) I will probably look like I've been dragged through a hedge by a tramp and probably as drunk as one soo looking nice is out of the picture... Therefore, I don't plan outfits per-say apart from FANCY DRESS :D !!! Now anyone who knows me knows I love to dress up so I have put together a few key bits/pictures of me and my friends from last boom town to get the creative juices flowing  :

C3PO costume is well on it's way to completion - Gold unitard : ASOS , Mask : eBay ,
Body paint : Amazon , 10 hole Dr Martens : here , Zombie nurse costume : eBay

Photos courtesy of Anne Marie Kemplay :)

A word of advice, when you go to a nipple tassle workshop and wear them away don't  expect them to stay on! you have been warned !!

The summer is nearly upon us.

Samira Boon Furoshiki Shiki lust

The i Pad Furoshiki Shiki  created by Samira Boon deserves it's own post.
I've been lusting over this amazing piece of Japanese/Dutch design  for a while, having seen it held by Ivania Carpio of Love Aesthetics.

I don't even own an i Pad mind, read the name of the blog! But like Ivania I think this makes an awesome clutch especially with the neon thing going on everywhere at the moment.
I . NEED . TRANSPARENT . STUFF

Now this is a very impractical craving when living in East London... think about it.

The envelope style simplicity of this  is actually amazing as demonstrated below:

Comes in LOADS of colours.

When the next bit of loan comes in I think I'll go for the green one. BOOM!
Wow, don't know where that came from.
my dissertation research proposal won't write itself .
Oh and one more thing inspired by Ivania Carpio :

I guess these are third hand, she copied these from her sister. Hers were nude and black but I was digging some Louboutin style nails
On another note..

Sunny G's  - Primark
T shirt - my sisters

YESSSSSSS IT'S NEARLY SUMMER..

I'm counting down the days.....

(photos all from Google apart from the rubbish one of me)
