I haven't owned a pair of Vans since I was about 10 years old, mainly because they are skate shoes and I have not set foot on a skateboard since then. However, I was more than happy to make the exception when Lucy from Access All ASOS invited me to the launch of the Vans X Eley Kishimoto collection. It's my boyfriends fault I missed an amazing party, (badly timed birthday) I got some new shoes though!! How cool are these?

Eley Kishimoto, created by Mike Eley and Wakako Kishimoto lent some of their archive designs to this collaboration and created a new print inspired by the Vans waffle sole. I bloody love a good print and these are amazing. I think I may need to buy the flash print slip ons, and the matching bag, I'm obsessed. Also, if you get a chance check out the Eley Kishimoto site HERE, they have the dreamiest printed wallpapers, grown up house goals right there. Here's a few more snaps of the collection and party, go and check it out on ASOS HERE.

#BEAUTYSPOT

DSC02929

*R Kelly voice* Now usually I don't do this but uh... Not everyday outfit posts, I've decided to incorporate a little beauty into my blog. So I am really into makeup - I wouldn't dream of visiting Tescos without my eyebrows coloured in, yes I'm one of those sad sad people. I'm the kind of person who could happily spend an HOUR contouring my face, my boyfriend doesn't get it at all he says 'why do you want to make your face more 3D??'. Anyway, I thought I'd share a few of my faves with you so here goes.

Clockwise from Left

The perfect 90s deep brown lip resides in this little tube.

Thank you Debenhams for bringing Make Up Forever into my life, this foundation keeps me more shine free than any other I have ever tried. I've got the oiliest T zone you can imagine and somehow a combination of this and Macs blot powder keeps me matte all day! I definitely recommend using a primer with this product though as it can be quite drying.

This is the holy grail. Everyone raves about it for good reason and lets be real by the time you've spent £8.50 or whatever on the Sleek eyebrow palette you may as well have spent £15 on this. The tiniest bit goes a long way, applied with a Mac 208 brow brush expect fleekiness. I would never got anywhere sans eyebrows apart from the gym, and now I don't even have to take them off for a workout. This shit stays on!

I love a good bronzer, I can't be bothered to contour everyday, sometimes my totally flat face needs a little somethin' somethin'. This is not too shiny which I like, looks so natural on, not powdery at all and very buildable. Also, a massive bonus is that this is waterproof!

Thank you Benefit for consistently making the best mascaras - this one is even better than 'They're Real' in my opinion.

I am not that experienced with good primers, only godawful ones like that Lancome slippy monstrosity. However, I this body shop primer. At £12 I think it's pretty good for a primer and the tube is big. I bought this before Christmas and I'm only about halfway though! This makes my foundation look so smooth I'd rather not put anything on my face without this.

Apparently this is a dupe for NARS Orgasm, personally I would never spend £23 on a blush but I'm quite happy to spend £4.49. This is gorgeous, so summery and shiny but also somehow a very subtle colour on my skin tone. LOVE IT!

Long time no see? Every post I'm trying to explain my absence! To summarise,a combination of ugly days/bad hair days/being hungover and just living life have made me the laziest of bloggers. A change of lifestyle was needed and so far so good! You never know, you might even see a recipe for gluten free banana bread on here sometime soon :)

Anyway, just going to dive straight back in. A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of visiting the city of Paris with a few of my friends you may know - Jen of Jen Electro, Sophie Emmet (stylist) and Gary of The Plastic Boy. We did the typical touristy shit (observe me at the Louvre avec bumbag)which was cool, but oh my god is the Paris nightlife amazing! If you are ever in the neighbourhood go to Silencio for a good night. You'll feel robbed by the price of a G&T - 24 euros! But it's worth it, music was on fleek (think everything from Tupac to Zebra Katz) as was the decor and beautiful people (Ian Somerhalder was in attendance). We also spent Sunday at the Afropunk festival which was awesome even though it was indoors (don't even ask me why a festival was indoors). Highlights included seeing Lion Babe, Lianna La Havas and Willow and Jaden Smith, who is definitely a better rapper than his dad!

Anyway got a very eventful summer ahead, which of course I will be blogging about. Two festivals - Glastonbury and Shambala and also going on a massive vaycay  to explore Sri Lanka for two weeks in September so stay tuned :)

Any of you guys going to Glasto let me know!

Eats : Turtle Bay

So last week me and Rob were invited to have dinner & cocktails at Turtle Bay in Walthamstow. Note I said Walthamstow, I live in STREATHAM the other end of London literally, and I will be going back because it was that damn good, worth an hours journey any day.
Turtle bay does amazing Caribbean food, all the traditional yummy bits like Jerk chicken, fried plantain and patties but with some amazing extra special eats. We started off with a few cocktails  please for the love of god if you like banana get the Hummingbird - white rum, Tia Maria, banana liqueur, cream, fresh banana & coconut. The jerk wings were a must to start, hotter than hell and too good, the chili squid got a big thumbs up from us too. The main event,  I am still raving about, and is the reason we'll be going back very soon was the double dipped jerk steak. It was sex on a plate, rare - and Rob kept on nicking bits of mine even though he had the tastiest jerk lamb I've ever eaten. Safe to say after cocktails and my weight in wings and steak, we didn't make it to dessert. Big thanks to Kitty who looked after us for the evening, you were such a babe!

Thanks Turtle Bay we'll be back soon :)

p.s Apologies again for the i phone photos - my camera charger has gone walkabout and I'mw aiting for the new one to arrive *le sigh*

ALL OF THE COLOURS.

Shirt - VintageTommy Hilfiger via Depop, Trousers - Boohoo , Trainers - Air Force 1 Offspring , Necklace - Primark

Well this is awkward... it's 2015 and I haven't blogged for 7 months. What the hell? Full time employment at a lovely but time consuming job and my lack of appetite for blogging with a hangover at the weekend takes a toll.
I never thought I'd say this but I miss it!!! Rambling on about shit nobody cares about and posting pictures of me wearing the various bits and bobs from hideously extensive wardrobe/floordrobe makes me happy. I'm in a sharing frame of mind.

Today was one of those days when I felt like I wanted to wear all the colours. I originally bought this vintage Tommy Hilfiger shirt for my boyfriend off Depop, but decided to keep it for myself...sorry Rob! And these trousers were £8 off Boohoo, they tried to Pantone match them at work and failed the colour is that magical!

Also feel like I should explain the weird colour of my hair, it wasn't planned D: ! I got bored with blonde and decided I was going to dye my hair purple last night, violet to be exact. I wasted £4 on Crazy Colours Violette, and unless I'm colour blind my hair is definitely BLUE! My poor hair :( I'm going to be spending the next week frantically trying to fade it out, trust me having a weave is so much less stress than looking after my actual hair! If anyone has any tips for getting blue out of hair help a sista out?

I've got a bunch of ideas for posts I'm going to definitely do..and I actually mean it this time. I've embarked on a journey to get fit and healthy , lets be real skinnier so maybe I'll blog about my progress (if there is any, fingers crossed). Anyway watch this space.

Happy 2015!

Frankie
