DOING SOMETHING - Londons funnest dating site

Live gypsy swing music with twinkling fairy lights in the garden

date1

Rapping like a bo$$ at Hip Hop Karaoke

date2

Burritos and beers in Brixton market

date3

Wassup wassup? Hey lovelies! So today I thought I'd attempt something slightly different, yes that is three date outfits you see up above. Not just any date outfits though, my babely friend Millie introduced me to what is possibly the coolest dating website ever - www.doingsomething.co.uk . Forget dinner with some awkward creep you met on Zoosk, you could be going on a date to see the penguins (free trip to London Zoo is always a winner), rap karaoke, ping pong in Dalston - the list goes on. Basically, all you do is sign up, think of something you'd like to do, someone who wants to do it with you will come knocking. Or, if you are lazy like moi you can peruse what dates the dudes of London are offering. Putting together an outfit for a date is HARD WORK, so I chose 3 of the funnest dates from the site and picked out what I would wear. Hopefully these outfits are guy friendly ;P Lies! IDGAF!

Go find a guy who's not a loser - https://www.doingsomething.co.uk/

Lav and kisses!

Hello again ! CAGECITY MEETS - ME :)

In the words of Eric B and Rakim -  it's been a long time, I shouldn't have left you :0 So today I decided to bite the bullet, fuck the anxiety and get on with things and write a new post. I have been getting BIZAY trying to get myself a new job, I've just graduated so I kinda want to get off the shop floor and get into the office, plus I want to go to South America next winter for 6 months so I need to save up. Even Though I'm Skint has taken a backseat of late, which is ridiculous because I've had so much to write about- press days and events coming out my arse!

In other news, if you follow me on Twitter you may remember way back in the summer (oh how I miss the summer) I went along to the CageCity headquarters with Tiger, Lucy, Helena and Sara for a day of boozing and dressing up. I LOVED the handmade designer pieces, one off bombers and matching knitted co-ords were amazing. Kelli McGuinness is a genius with knitwear check her out!!

Check out the interview and more photos of the shoot HERE !

I promise I'll post again soon :)

#LFW - Q&A WITH ALEXANDRA SHULMAN AT THE PLAYBOY CLUB

_DSC0134_black and white

The last day of LFW was grim and rainy (surprise surprise) but ended on a high. Me and Jen were fortunate enough to attend a Q&A with the editor in chief of British Vogue, Alexandra Shulman - big thanks to M&C Saatchi PR. We headed over to the Playboy Club where we were treated to canapes and cocktails by gorgeous Playboy bunnies. Very unexpected to have the editor of Vogue talking in the Playboy club, but I couldn't have chosen a better venue - it was awesome!

I sat in awe for what seemed like ten minutes but was closer to an hour listening to the lovely Alexandra Shulman talk about fashion - everything from how London Fashion Week has evolved to the British High Street. Lets face it, My preconception of what Alexandra would be like couldn't have been further from the reality, not at all the cold scary dragon woman I was expecting (we've all seen the Devil Wears Prada), but a warm, relatable lady - not to mention incredibly chic wearing a Simone Rocha dress and Nicolas Kirkwood heels.

Alexandra had a lot to say on the subject of London Fashion Week, how it has evolved from being somewhat of a mess into a world renowned fashion event with amazing designers such as choosing to showcase their collections here as opposed to New York or Paris. Of course, having only attended LFW the past two seasons I have no knowledge of what LFW used to be like - but the transformation she helped bring about to the event is definitely a success judging by what I have enjoyed!

All in all, it was a pleasure listening to Alex - think we might be close enough for nicknames now ;) . I came away from the evening thinking about fashion in a different way,  feeling like (or hoping) a little bit of her wisdom rubbed off on me.

Helooooooooo! I'm finally flu free and feeling human again! If I had blogged during my down time rest assured the posts would have involved  OOTDs featuring various dressing gowns and onesies, with a birds nest for hair, clutching a mug of Lemsip like my life depends on it -  pretty sure this post is preferable. I am in luurve with my new H&M boots at the moment - £29.99 and they look really similar to the Vagabond Dioon boots, except in my opinion chunkier and in general just more awesome. Needless to say the men in my life (i.e Boyfriend and Dad) think they are hideous - in my eyes this can only be a good thing. I love dressing in a way that makes men go away hehe!

With my recovery I warn you will be coming a barrage of LFW posts starting tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I'm going to blog regularly from now on, not just about 'look at what I'm wearing' either -  going to be branching out to make it a bit more interesting. WATCH THIS SPACE.

I'd also like to say a big thanks to Erica from IPR for the much needed super stretch jeans, the only jeans that fit my gigantic arse at the moment,  and La Moda for sending me this schweet satchel today! Much appreciated !

Toodles!

London Fashion Week ended last Tuesday, leaving me a nasty cold (I am dying) but also the memories of some pretty cool experiences. I've finally brought myself to go through the hundreds of photos and thought my first LFW post be a bit of a street style post. Friday the 13th didn't bode well for us at Somerset House - it rained so much and it continued throughout the weekend. Luckily, on the Monday the weather was pretty good and that's when I got most of these snaps. I forgot to take my camera for the first three days (worst blogger ever) so I had to make do with my dads i pad -  more outfit posts from LFW to come soon.

I managed to get photos of my two favorite outfits however, the first being this awesome Monki dress the lovely Erica let me pick out at the showroom just before fashion week. If you are crap at planning outfits like me you'll appreciate how much of a lifesaver this one was - only had to faff around for 15 minutes choosing what coat to wear over it haha! I also went to Monki to pick up some jeans and found these smiley face socks I included on a wishlist a while back, I was on a bit of a Monki hype that day and I LOVED it.

The best bits of LFW were the ones I shared with blogger babes - It was nice to chill with everyone and catch up, the New Look Refuel room was the place to be again this season, champagne, manis and a photo-booth took the edge off the fact that it was pissing it down outside.

SO, more to come, I went to some really good shows (OMG KTZ!!!!) and the most bloody amazing sick parties ever - expect to be reading about them soon!

Oh my goodness I've been SO BUSY moving out  of my flat over the past week, haven't had a chance to blog for a bit sorry guys :) I'm so glad to have finally moved out of my uni flat now, back to my dads where the fridge is always full  - it's amazing. Aaanyway, the babeatron that is Suzan from Educate & Elevate sent me this lush B Ball jersey the other day. I usually only wear jerseys as pyjamas but thought this one was too nice not to wear outside- I bloody love it, TA BABE! Also, I think we all need to appreciate my awesome Nike roshe runs that the lovely Sheree from Glitz and Grime helped me procur. I really wasn't that jazzed about the roshe till I saw these on the Urban Outfitters website, pretty much fell in love and when I got them so did my feet, comfiest kicks eveeeeeeeer! So that's all from me today, this week is the calm before the storm that is London Fashion Week. Expect a bazillion LFW blog posts in the not too distant future, let me know if your going :D

So yesterday I attended the GS Shop show with my girl Jen and this is what I wore :) If you follow me on Instagram ( @Frankiegd) you are probably sick of seeing this red kimono I got from Topshop a while back (I've got matching shorts to how cool is that!), it's my staple jacket a the moment whilst it's too hot for denim. For some reason outfit planning doesn't work for me and this is the result, I always end up throwing something on last minute - refer back to my LFW outfits last year haha!

The GS Shop show, which I was lucky enough to attend thanks to Pop PR comprised the work of  four Korean Central St Martins alumni designers. All four shows seemed to be A/W to me, a little confusing ( I'm hating A/W coming in the shops at the moment, still in summer mode) but I loved the coats and jackets - especially the mens ones from Xess Homme. I wasn't overly jazzed by anything in particular but I've included a few photos of my favorite looks from a couple of the designers.

All in all I  had a great time, and a hangover by 9pm thanks to the champers. This show got me SO EXCITED for London Fashion Week which is coming up very soon, I'm actually trying to plan shit this time - got some cool bits and pieces to wear and plenty of amazing shows to see. If any of you are going to be around this London Fashion Week let me know :) It would be great to meet up!

Wassup guys! I am feeling like shit! I don't know if it's lack of sleep and too much partying or the fact I've put on over a stone over the last month but I definitely don't want to be doing outfit posts at the moment..especially if my clothes don't even fit me JF%?L$@£:$@:$£{$:`!!!!! I hate EVERYTHING right now. Today the weather is crappy, the light is shit you can't even see my beautiful new River Island shoes I bought with my last little bit of money the other day. But at least a couple of pictures turned out okay (without me looking like a complete rhino), you probably have noticed I love the all white trend  - goes well with a tan, or just being generally brown like me :) I took massive inspo from Tigerlilly, she wore something similar, and looked so much better than me during her trip to Paris.

Sorry about the moaning and ting, I set out to blog today and by gosh I did it #eventhoughihatemyself

Hope your Tuesday is a hell of a lot better than mine

Love

Frankie

The guy says - "Lovely, reminds me of the Flintstones film"

Hey hey! I'm back in Bristol and it's bloody raining - GASH! So I thought 'd do yet another blog post this week, on the Missguided AW13 preview I had the pleasure of going to on Thursday. I went with the lovely Jen and it was smashing, I never eat breakfast so when I got there I demolished the buffet table and drank about six cocktails and lets just say I was very merry! I took some photos of my favorite bits of the new collection - we even met the designer who was such a babe. There was so much amazingness, fluffy two pieces straight out of scary spices wardrobe, fluffy coats, a whole load of Alexander Wang sports - luxe inspired pieces, embroidered two pieces, dope prints, dresses and I fell in love with the jeweled biker. I was really pleasantly surprised, Missguided seem to have stepped their game up - really wasn't expecting to be like ERRMAGAARDD I WANT EVERYTHING!

Moving on, my boyfriend has decided that I should include a new element to my blog called 'The guy says' (he named it himself) which basically consists of a quote from the man himself on what he thinks of my outfit (like I give a shit anyway). I've decided to humor him for now, it might be funny -  let me know what your thoughts on it are, I'm not convinced. Despite what he says, looking like a Flintstone isn't bad - how cool is this shirt?? I love how bright it is and the size means it also doubles up as a kimono. My girl Suzan at La Moda sent me this really weird backpack which  wore to the Missguided event - by weird I mean awesome, I'm into it and it's now going everywhere with me THANKS :D
I'm really hungry now, so that's it all done :) Hope you all have a lavly weekend - despite the crappy weather

Smell you later ^_^

Frankie

Wassup wassup? I'm feeling industrious this week - more than one blog post check me out ;)  I can't help but feel the first ever GIF I have ever made may be slightly annoying- all that moveyness hmmmm, don't hesitate to comment if you feel it should never happen again haha!
These shorts are yet another absolute diamond of a find from Vintage Basement (just off Brick Lane - GO GO GO !!), I was going to cut them shorter but Jen said I shouldn't and I'm so glad I didn't - the length is perfect for London, creepy perv proof! My friend Emma came up with a theory that there is at least one creepy man per 20m squared in London - this is definitely true I think someone should do a thesis on it. On the subject of academic stuff I GOT A 2.1 - S A Y   W H A T ??? Man I was so shocked  - FUCK YOU GEOGRAPHY - HIGH FIVE EVERYONE :D

In other news, I'm going to Bristol this weekend to see my lavly boyfriend and more importantly hook back up with the West Country Massive (AKA my friends) - hopefully the weather isn't shit, cider's flowing and everyone parties like its 1999. ALSO are you of you lovelies going to Shambala? I'm scraping money together - might have to prostitute myself but I am going. Let me know if you are :D

love Frankie
